Das Geheimnis der Au

A Film by Waltraud Paschinger

Over a period of two years, the film follows the restoration of a former gravel quarry in the Styrian Grenzmur floodplain. It documents the work of dedicated conservationists and impressively demonstrates just how much knowledge, patience and passion are required to restore habitats for rare species such as the sand martin, common tern, beaver and European pond turtle. A poetic nature documentary about hope, biodiversity and the power of restoration.
