Faszination Mallorca – Die geheimnisvolle Tierwelt der Insel

A Film by Thomas Behrend

This film showcases the wild side of Mallorca: the Tramuntana Mountains are home to wild goats, red kites and black vultures – Europe’s largest birds of prey. Ornithologist Pep Tapia has been monitoring their breeding success for decades. Mallorca’s underwater world is also rich in biodiversity. Where overfishing once prevailed off the island of Sa Dragonera, groupers and schools of barracuda now patrol the waters once more. Biologist Deborah Morrison is undertaking an ambitious mission to reintroduce endangered seahorses.
